What happens at the wedding video planning meeting?
In advance of your wedding, Doon will meet you to
discuss your specific requirements - this is an
important meeting as it provides you with an
opportunity to make your video requirements known and
for Doon to be clear about what you want in your
final wedding video.
At the meeting, Doon will provide you with a wedding video checklist of what needs to be discussed and this is used as a basis to identify your specific requirement, such as the video shots to be taken, the music you want, the names of those you want credited on your video.
Following the meeting, Doon will send you a copy of the final agreed wedding video requirements - 'Wedding Video Specification' - for your records.

Can we choose the background music for our wedding video?
Yes - choice of music is a matter of personal taste
and it is preferable that you should decide what
music you want for your wedding video.
At our planning meeting in advance of your wedding, Doon will discuss your video requirements and your choice of music. Normally, couples supply the music of their choice on CD before the wedding takes place - this allows Doon to start editing the video immediately after your wedding and to consider how the music you have chosen works with the video material.
Music supplied should be at full CD quality and uncompressed - ie not MP3 - for best results on the final wedding video DVD.

How long will we have to wait for our video to be produced?
It takes approximately six weeks to produce your
wedding video ready for hand-over to you.
Video editing is a lengthy process.
Once recorded, the video of your wedding will be on several MiniDV tapes.
These have to be loaded in to a computer and checked.
The best clips are selected and edited to make them work together.
Music and special effects are added, checked and edited.
Finally, titles and graphics are added.
The complete video is then tested and once ready, copied on to DVD and packaged.

What equipment do you use for your video work?
Kiss Wedding Movies currently uses the following
professional quality equipment:
Sony video cameras. The HVR V1E and PD170P are professional broadcast quality cameras that take outstanding video. The PCR350E is used as a back-up video camera.
Sennheiser and Rode broadcast quality microphones. The Sennheiser is a tiny lapel clip-on microphone for the groom that will ensure that your vows are clearly recorded. The Rode microphone is used on the 2nd camera.
Vinten tripod. This is a professional standard tripod from one of the best manufacturers in the business.
Manfrotto monopod. This allows for greater camera mobility when the Vinten tripod would be inappropriate to use.
Apple computer. Apple computers are excellent for handling video.
Apple video editing software. Kiss Wedding Movies uses the industry standard Final Cut Pro editing software for great results.

Will you provide us with a plan of the video shots we want included in our DVD?
Yes, definitely. Doon is one of the few videographers
who provides wedding couples with a detailed plan of
the video and audio material they want included in
their DVD - this information is provided in a
'Wedding Video Specification' document.
In advance of your wedding, Doon will hold a planning meeting with you. He will use this document to hold a structured conversation with you to determine your personal requirements for the video and audio on your wedding video. Following the meeting, he will provide you with a copy of this specification for your records. With a 'Wedding Video Specification', both you and Doon will have a clear understanding of what will be included and you can relax and know that everything you want will be taken care of.
Doon strongly believes that all wedding videographers should supply their clients with such a detailed specification. To view a blank 'Wedding Video Specification', click here.

Do you use studio or camera lights when shooting video?
No - Doon only uses natural outdoor light and
available indoor lighting when shooting video. Studio

lots of heat and trailing cables can be dangerous to
guests.
How do we store our wedding DVDs?
You should store you wedding video DVDs away from
magnetic sources, in a dry environment, away from
direct sunlight, at normal room temperature and in
the cases provided.
You should not finger the surface of the DVD – preferably hold it by placing your finger in the spindle hole.

accompanied by a £100 deposit - it accepts no

held for up to a year in advance meaning that Kiss
Wedding Movies can take no other booking for your

couple wants the same date that is being held for you
- and they make a firm booking - then your £100
deposit will be returned in full.)
If you cancel your booking after you have made your second installment of £200, then this amount will be returned in full.
